In the 3rd minute, Ricardo Peña hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Telmo Miramontes took the ball and in the 4 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised David Braun. David Braun dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 0-1. After 11 played minutes Club Deportivo Águila got a freekick which was hit by Orlando Flores. After some careless play in the Socavon FC defense, Félix Pimentel kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Martin Chapado. The Socavon FC fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Martin Chapado should have stopped the shot. 21 minutes into the match, Socavon FC's Zuhaitz Artiaga sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that David Braun narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Club Deportivo Águila's David Braun played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Telmo Miramontes in the 23rd minute of play. Oxarra Guillemez sent away a hard shot on goal in the 25th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After 27 minutes of play, Socavon FC's Telmo Miramontes made it 1-3 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. David Braun was left in no man's land by his defense there! In the 30th minute Elias Portillo shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Martin Chapado saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 32 minutes into the match, Club Deportivo Águila's Félix Pimentel sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Martin Chapado narrowly saved just below the crossbar. After 34 minutes, Orlando Flores mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Club Deportivo Águila and the Socavon FC players grew even worse after the yellow card. After a rather tough play, Club Deportivo Águila's Orlando Flores got a free kick in the 34th minute. Oxarra Guillemez fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 35th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without David Braun having to interfere. In the 37th minute, Oxarra Guillemez got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Edgar Peredes hit a great freekick 38 minutes into the match. In the 39th match minute, Socavon FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Javier Puget to maneuver through the defense. If Orlando Flores had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 42nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. If Félix Pimentel had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 43rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Félix Pimentel sent away a hard shot on goal in the 45th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After the first half Socavon FC were leading 1-3. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.
The wind increased when Orlando Flores made the kick off in the second half. In the 54th minute, Oxarra Guillemez fired away a shot on goal. He put a little to much spin on the ball and sent it just wide of the right post. Club Deportivo Águila's Félix Pimentel got a good chance for a goal in the 57th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. After some fancy dribbling in the 64th minute, Félix Pimentel managed to get in a good position for a shot. Club Deportivo Águila's supporters rose to their feet, but Félix Pimentel was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Martin Chapado breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. The audience thought a goal was coming when Zuhaitz Artiaga got free with David Braun in the 67th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Danel Franquis's late challenge caught a Club Deportivo Águila's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Danel Franquis helped the player get up and apologised. In the 72nd minute there was a penalty for Club Deportivo Águila. Elias Portillo stepped forward and shot the ball to the right of a diving Martin Chapado. 2-4. Club Deportivo Águila's David Braun proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 76th minute of the match, managed to save Club Deportivo Águila from getting a goal against them. In the 78th match minute, Club Deportivo Águila was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Saul Viscarra to maneuver through the defense. In the 79th minute of the match Iturri Soldevilla sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but David Braun skillfully saved the ball. David Braun showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Telmo Miramontes, who was totally free with the ball in the 82nd minute. In the 88th minute, Telmo Miramontes got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. The referee blew the final whistle, and the away crowd roared, having watched Socavon FC eke out a victory against a very well matched opponent.
