The audience thought a goal was coming when Mattias Borglin got free with Yuriy Abhazov in the 14th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Nikita Kutepov hit a great freekick 45 minutes into the match. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 2-0 at half-time.

Helge Ståhlman's late challenge caught a Курск ФК's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Yuriy Abhazov stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Mattias Borglin's shot from short distance in the 84th minute. The supporters of Курск ФК booed when Ghost Hunters was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 88 match minutes in a wonderful position. Rasmus Wennersten didn't get a good kick on the ball. Helge Ståhlman kicked well hit freekick during the 91st minute of the match. When Nikita Kutepov came up free with the goalie in the 94th minute, the Курск ФК fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Nikita Kutepov couldn't finish the play. Many of Курск ФК's supporters were seen to leave the ground early as it became clear their team was going to lose. Курск ФК may have spent more time on the ball, but Ghost Hunters were more willing to take their chances and they walked away with the win.
