Leonides Valentine made a fantastic save in the 13th minute, when Torrey Molloy sent off a good shot on target. Ter Stegen showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Lavan Querubin, who was totally free with the ball in the 16th minute. Torrey Molloy had several of the Argentino de Banfield's defenders around him in the penalty area when he, after 23 minutes of play, received a pass and succeeded in some way to shoot a shot which went straight ahead into goal. This resulted in a 1-0 score and a disappointed Leonides Valentine as he didn't even see the shot coming. Ter Stegen made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Aurelio Nesor in the 26th minute of play. Torrey Molloy sent away a hard shot on goal in the 32nd minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. Torrey Molloy's shot straight on target was not completely harmless. The ball had pretty good speed, but Leonides Valentine firmly grabbed it by the left post. In the 33rd minute Aurelio Nesor shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Ter Stegen saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. An unexpectedly hard shot by Torrey Molloy in the 37th minute of play forced Argentino de Banfield's goalkeeper Leonides Valentine to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Ter Stegen showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Aurelio Nesor in the 44th minute of the match. An unexpectedly hard shot by Raimundo Castulo in the 71st minute of play forced 1948 MKS's goalkeeper Ter Stegen to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 72nd minute, Rigan Frankson left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net.
