Karl-Erik Hellström made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 1-1. An unexpectedly hard shot by Qiu Xi Wen in the 48th minute of play forced Mεrtiαn Digitαl Ψ's goalkeeper Marc Anthonissen to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. The first half was very even, with the score at 1-1 when the whistle went for half-time. The players welcomed the break and quickly retired to the dressing rooms.

The wind increased when Miromir Jankowski made the kick off in the second half. In the 82nd minute of the match, Everardo Milian got a very nice opportunity to score, but Karl-Erik Hellström was well-placed and pushed the ball away from the goal at the left post. The crowd rose to their feet as Everardo Milian kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Karl-Erik Hellström. That made the score 1-2 in the 85 minute of play.
