Radomil Ogrodowicz fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 11th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Florian Caes having to interfere. Fernando Prassov showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Gavino Urdin, who was totally free with the ball in the 12th minute. In the 21st minute Armando Iztal shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Fernando Prassov saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Sporting Girou's Florian Caes proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 25th minute of the match, managed to save Sporting Girou from getting a goal against them. After some careless play in the Sporting Girou defense, Christian Vieri kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Florian Caes. The Sporting Girou fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Florian Caes should have stopped the shot. In the 33rd minute, Christian Vieri ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Florian Caes was frozen by the shot and now it was 3-0. In the 35th minute Christian Vieri shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Florian Caes saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. An unexpectedly hard shot by Christian Vieri in the 36th minute of play forced Sporting Girou's goalkeeper Florian Caes to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Florian Caes was a little too slow when Christian Vieri got a fine hit on the ball which went right into the goal in the 38th minute. The score was now 4-0. Florian Caes didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Christian Vieri went, in the 48th minute, to the upper right corner, 5-0 was the resulting score. Af the end of the first half the score was 5-0. The first half had gone as expected for the home team.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Gavino Urdin was the one to do the kick off. Florian Caes took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Christian Vieri, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Fernando Prassov made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Gavino Urdin in the 59th minute of play. In the 69thth minute of the game Christian Vieri who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Sporting Girou's Florian Caes was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Florian Caes showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Christian Vieri in the 70th minute of the match. After 71 played minutes Green Hell F.C. got a freekick which was hit by Gaitan Melic. 76 minutes into the match, Green Hell F.C.'s Christian Vieri sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Florian Caes narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Green Hell F.C. were awarded a corner in the 77th minute after Sporting Girou's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Gaitan Melic took the corner. 78 minutes into the match, Christian Vieri had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Florian Caes. Sporting Girou's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Christian Vieri was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 7-0. Florian Caes made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Christian Vieri in the 82nd minute of play. In the 84th minute, Christian Vieri left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Green Hell F.C. fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 8-0. In the 90th minute Christian Vieri shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Florian Caes saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After 91 minutes Sporting Girou's defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Gaitan Melic who took care of the corner kick. The audience was convinced that Radomil Ogrodowicz's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Florian Caes was relentless in the 92nd minute of the game. Florian Caes came out of the goal in the 93rd minute to try and stop a shot by Green Hell F.C.'s Christian Vieri. But to his dismay, Christian Vieri quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 9-0. The referee blew his whistle, and the match came to a close. The players exchanged shirts and headed down the tunnel. The Green Hell F.C. fans cheered their team off the field, for while Sporting Girou had put up a good fight, they were unable to come out of the game with any points to show for their effort.
