Damian Rodas's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Gil Gouveia read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 29th minute of play. A collision led to MANCHITA ES LA TUYA 9-12 getting a freekick after 29 minutes play. Jimeno Bartuelo hit a great ball. In the 30th minute Silvano Simões shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Angelo Oliverio saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 32nd minute the ball was on its way in behind MANCHITA ES LA TUYA 9-12's goalkeeper Angelo Oliverio, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Damian Rodas received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 44th minute. Gil Gouveia tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 2-1.

Silvano Simões might have been able to make a better finish in the 52nd minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Angelo Oliverio. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Silvano Simões ran back to his position shaking his head. Angelo Oliverio took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Silvano Simões, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. An unexpectedly hard shot by Jimeno Bartuelo in the 53rd minute of play forced Aveiro FC's goalkeeper Gil Gouveia to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. The audience thought a goal was coming when Ernesto Bras got free with Gil Gouveia in the 55th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. 59 minutes into the match, MANCHITA ES LA TUYA 9-12's goal looked a bit too open when Silvano Simões came free, but Angelo Oliverio reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line.
