The referee showed Vicente Catarinense the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. In the 4th match minute, Lupere FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Vicente Catarinense to maneuver through the defense. Nikola Portner showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Romário Gol in the 21st minute of the match. Dominik Sauerberg scored 1-1 in the 24th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Ulysses Novaes, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. In the 28th minute, Rafael Meirelles hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Laurenzo Wagner's late challenge caught a Lupere FC's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Laurenzo Wagner helped the player get up and apologised. Laurenzo Wagner hit a great freekick 33 minutes into the match. Espen Steelers's Fabian Schär was substituted for Laurenzo Wagner. In the 35th match minute, Espen Steelers was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Laurenzo Wagner to maneuver through the defense. In the 35th minute, Romário Gol hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. When Gaetano Rothstein fell near the penalty area in the 38th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Espen Steelers's protests and gave Gaetano Rothstein a yellow card for diving instead. The supporters of Lupere FC booed when Espen Steelers was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 39 match minutes in a wonderful position. Gaetano Rothstein didn't get a good kick on the ball. An unexpectedly hard shot by Rafael Meirelles in the 40th minute of play forced Espen Steelers's goalkeeper Nikola Portner to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. A collision led to Espen Steelers getting a freekick after 41 minutes play. Roland Rochat hit a great ball. Nikola Portner made a fantastic save in the 41st minute, when Sérgio de Queiroz sent off a good shot on target. Rafael Meirelles's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Nikola Portner read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 46th minute of play. After a very even first half the match was still tied. The players went to their respective dressing rooms to discuss the tactics for the second half.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Rafael Meirelles to make the kick off. 51 minutes into the match, Espen Steelers's goal looked a bit too open when Romário Gol came free, but Nikola Portner reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. 52 minutes into the match, Klaas Frei notched a goal, 1-2, to the right of Lupere FC's Ulysses Novaes. Ulysses Novaes was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Nikola Portner took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Romário Gol, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Nikola Portner didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Romário Gol went, in the 55th minute, to the upper right corner, 2-2 was the resulting score. After 61 played minutes Espen Steelers got a freekick which was hit by Giancarlo Weissmuller. Espen Steelers's Nikola Portner played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Rafael Meirelles in the 63rd minute of play. 64 minutes into the match, Lupere FC's goalkeeper Ulysses Novaes had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Dominik Sauerberg. Ulysses Novaes made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Clement Rothstein in the 67th minute of play. After 71 minutes, Roland Rochat mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Espen Steelers and the Lupere FC players grew even worse after the yellow card. 70 minutes into the game, one of Espen Steelers:s players got tackled near the goal, and the referee blew for a penalty. In the 80th minute, Kaká Saraiva hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. The supporters of Lupere FC booed when Espen Steelers was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 85 match minutes in a wonderful position. Giancarlo Weissmuller didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 86th minute, Rafael Meirelles got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Ulysses Novaes made a fantastic save in the 91st minute, when Andy Schmid sent off a good shot on target. Rafael Meirelles struck a weak shot in the 93rd minute. Nikola Portner didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Lupere FC. 97 minutes into the match, Lupere FC's goalkeeper Ulysses Novaes had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Andy Schmid. Espen Steelers were unable to convert their possession into goals, allowing Lupere FC to leave the ground with a draw.
