With his leg Emilio Miconi managed to avoid a goal in the 46thth minute, when Joinville City - FSCMZ's Paulo Siqueira fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. In the 47th minute, Vítor Aguiar hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Af the end of the first half the score was 2-1. The first half had gone as expected for the home team.

After 51 played minutes Joinville City - FSCMZ got a freekick which was hit by Clemente Mineiro. In the 58th minute, Caetano de Moraes got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal.
