The referee ignored FC Goodfellas's protests and gave Kaspar Veetõusme a yellow card for diving instead. Kaspar Veetõusme hit a great freekick 28 minutes into the match. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Calvin Townsley in the 35th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Roland Roosimägi prevented the ball from getting in the gole. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Heldur Lips in the 39th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Tod Bridgeworth saved Carlisle United from getting behind. Jake Marriott fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 40th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Roland Roosimägi having to interfere. 42 minutes into the match, FC Goodfellas's goal looked a bit too open when Calvin Townsley came free, but Roland Roosimägi reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. The audience was convinced that Calvin Townsley's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Roland Roosimägi was relentless in the 43rd minute of the game. After a defensive mix-up in FC Goodfellas's zone, Calvin Townsley stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Roland Roosimägi came out of the goal and Calvin Townsley tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Luck had favoured the away team in the first, and they walked off with a 1-3 lead.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Harri Kaine could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 92nd minute of the match, but Roland Roosimägi made a huge save.
