In the 3rdth minute of the game Daniel Alcântara who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but R.C. Marseille's Gustave Lechat was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. 9 minutes into the match, Rondinone F.C - FDFDF's goal looked a bit too open when Bart Vetter came free, but Rômulo de Almeida reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. The audience thought a goal was coming when Daniel Alcântara got free with Gustave Lechat in the 13th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. In the 15thth minute of the game Daniel Alcântara who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but R.C. Marseille's Gustave Lechat was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. A collision led to R.C. Marseille getting a freekick after 17 minutes play. Francis Coignard hit a great ball. The R.C. Marseille fans' excitement grew in the 19th match minute when R.C. Marseille's Paulo Teinturier looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 0-1 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. Daniel Alcântara who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 23rdth minute tested the skills of Gustave Lechat when he managed to save the team from getting behind. Rômulo de Almeida took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Paulo Teinturier, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. 29 minutes into the game, Bart Vetter cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 0-2. Rômulo de Almeida was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. A collision led to R.C. Marseille getting a freekick after 38 minutes play. Florent Travers hit a great ball. Rômulo de Almeida took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Paulo Teinturier, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. If Bart Vetter had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 44th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Luck had favoured the away team in the first, and they walked off with a 0-2 lead.

The wind increased when Daniel Alcântara made the kick off in the second half. Daniel Alcântara recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 51st minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. When the match had gone on for 54 minutes, Bart Vetter took a quick shot and it went in 0-3 without a chance for Rômulo de Almeida to make any attempt to save it. The crowd rose to their feet as Alexandre Dubar kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Rômulo de Almeida. That made the score 0-5 in the 70 minute of play. A collision led to Rondinone F.C - FDFDF getting a freekick after 76 minutes play. Adalberto Vianna hit a great ball. 77 minutes into the match, Rondinone F.C - FDFDF's goal looked a bit too open when Bart Vetter came free, but Rômulo de Almeida reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Rômulo de Almeida stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Bart Vetter's shot from short distance in the 79th minute. In the 79th match minute, Rondinone F.C - FDFDF was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Amauri Rocha to maneuver through the defense. A collision led to Rondinone F.C - FDFDF getting a freekick after 83 minutes play. Falcão Marques hit a great ball. Rômulo de Almeida made an important save on a dangerous shot by Paulo Teinturier in the 84th minute. Rômulo de Almeida showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Bart Vetter in the 87th minute of the match. In the 92nd minute Daniel Alcântara shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Gustave Lechat saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. When Francis Coignard came up free with the goalie in the 95th minute, the R.C. Marseille fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Francis Coignard couldn't finish the play. The Rondinone F.C - FDFDF fans had already started to leave before the final whistle blew. R.C. Marseille were clearly better and deserved to take the win.
