When Merceron United's Ettore Conte in the 3rd minute got a chance for a shot 3rd didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Ghost Hunters's goalie prevented a goal. Ted Thorsberg made in the 18th minute of the game a throw-in that took a bad bounce and was taken care of by Merceron United's Fulvio Pasquino. An unexpectedly hard shot by Ettore Conte in the 22nd minute of play forced Ghost Hunters's goalkeeper Jonatan Stål to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Ted Thorsberg did some fancy footwork in front of goal and succeeded to deceive the defenders so he could slam the ball in 1-1 to the left of a surprised Carmine Latini 28 minutes into the match. In the 35th minute, Frank Qvarnström hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. An unexpectedly hard shot by Ettore Conte in the 36th minute of play forced Ghost Hunters's goalkeeper Jonatan Stål to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 38th minute, Mattias Borglin left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Ghost Hunters fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 2-1. In the 41st minute, Alberigo Cavallucci hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After having played for 43 minutes, Mattias Borglin managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Ghost Hunters's supporters crossed their fingers, but Mattias Borglin was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. A collision led to Merceron United getting a freekick after 46 minutes play. Cristiano Pellicciotta hit a great ball. After having played for 46 minutes, Rune Brovall managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Ghost Hunters's supporters crossed their fingers, but Rune Brovall was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Af the end of the first half the score was 2-1. The first half had gone as expected for the home team.

The wind increased when Anders Appelgren made the kick off in the second half. After 52 played minutes Merceron United got a freekick which was hit by Emilio Conti. In the 59th minute the ball was on its way in behind Ghost Hunters's goalkeeper Jonatan Stål, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. An unexpectedly hard shot by Anders Appelgren in the 62nd minute of play forced Merceron United's goalkeeper Carmine Latini to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 65 minutes into the match, Ghost Hunters's goal looked a bit too open when Ettore Conte came free, but Jonatan Stål reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Daniele Bucciarelli recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 69th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Ghost Hunters's Jonatan Stål played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Daniele Bucciarelli in the 71st minute of play. The crowd rose to their feet as Daniele Bucciarelli kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Jonatan Stål. That made the score 2-4 in the 88 minute of play. Jonatan Stål didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Ettore Conte went, in the 91st minute, to the upper right corner, 2-5 was the resulting score. The Ghost Hunters supporters were disappointed that their team didn't take anything from the match, despite matching Merceron United's performance. The match ended with a win for Merceron United.
