Martin Miro came out and tried to block the shot, but Art Rhoades slotted it home off the left post making it 1-0 in the 9th minute. 12 minutes into the match, Persepolis F.C.'s goal looked a bit too open when Silvano Paulin came free, but Dennis Rhoades reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 17th minute the ball was on its way in behind Persepolis F.C.'s goalkeeper Dennis Rhoades, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Martin Miro showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Geraldo Wall, who was totally free with the ball in the 22nd minute. 26 minutes into the match, Arden Poulin notched a goal, 2-0, to the right of Ripa FC's Martin Miro. Martin Miro was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Dennis Rhoades showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Igor Sanchez in the 30th minute of the match. An unexpectedly hard shot by Geraldo Wall in the 31st minute of play forced Ripa FC's goalkeeper Martin Miro to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 34thth minute of the game Silvano Paulin who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Persepolis F.C.'s Dennis Rhoades was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. The audience was convinced that Silvano Paulin's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Dennis Rhoades was relentless in the 37th minute of the game. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Silvano Paulin in the 38th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Dennis Rhoades prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Geraldo Wall took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 42nd minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Martin Miro. Ripa FC's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. 45 minutes into the game, Art Rhoades recieved a splendid long ball, split the defenders, and gently placed the ball to the left of Martin Miro. Art Rhoades showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 3-0. Martin Miro showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Geraldo Wall in the 47th minute of the match. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 3-0.
The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Art Rhoades was the one to do the kick off. Art Rhoades took the ball and in the 52 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Martin Miro. Martin Miro dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 4-0. A collision led to Persepolis F.C. getting a freekick after 57 minutes play. Art Rhoades hit a great ball. In the 59th minute of the match Ripa FC got a corner. Persepolis F.C.'s goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Donato Rami ran over to the corner to take the kick. Marco Elivareo made a great header on Ripa FC's corner, it was just that Persepolis F.C.'s Dennis Rhoades managed to reach the ball for a save. When Ripa FC's Silvano Paulin in the 66th minute got a chance for a shot 66th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. Igor Sanchez sent away a hard shot on goal in the 82nd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. When Elvio Hibai came up free with the goalie in the 84th minute, the Ripa FC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Elvio Hibai couldn't finish the play. If Igor Sanchez had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 85th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Silvano Paulin recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 87th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. 93 minutes into the game, Ildefonso Bordat was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Ripa FC's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Persepolis F.C. the free kick. After 93 played minutes Ripa FC got a freekick which was hit by Ildefonso Bordat.
