The supporters of Sociedad Anónima booed when Rohozec was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 19 match minutes in a wonderful position. Jiří Mráz didn't get a good kick on the ball. 21 minutes into the match, Rohozec's goalkeeper Michal Žemlička had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Marino Malet. The audience thought a goal was coming when Edelmiro Carulla got free with Michal Žemlička in the 32nd minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Michal Žemlička showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Oriche Campillo in the 34th minute of the match. An unexpectedly hard shot by Michal Hlavička in the 36th minute of play forced Sociedad Anónima's goalkeeper Antonio Sorriva to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 38th minute Michal Hlavička shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Antonio Sorriva saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 45th minute, Stefan Kjellqvist hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After fighting hard for a draw in the first half, the players were able to take a much needed rest.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Marino Malet made a kick off. In the 54th minute, Michal Hlavička made a precise shot to the right of Antonio Sorriva. Sociedad Anónima's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 0-1. A collision led to Sociedad Anónima getting a freekick after 61 minutes play. Gencal Beren hit a great ball. Michal Žemlička showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Lourenco Agreda in the 71st minute of the match. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Santiago García during the 74th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card.
