The audience thought a goal was coming when Erwann Patrice got free with Elói Cordeiro in the 7th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Vivien Contant received a nice pass, split the defenders, and ran untouched towards the goal. Elói Cordeiro came out and tried to block the shot, but Vivien Contant slotted it home off the left post making it 1-0 in the 9th minute. Cosa nostra Lyon's Martin Tremblay managed, thanks to a brazen rush, stole the ball on a throw-in made by Tostão Branco in the 11 minute of the game. Tostão Branco made in the 14th minute of the game a throw-in that took a bad bounce and was taken care of by Cosa nostra Lyon's Martin Tremblay. After some fancy dribbling in the 16th minute, Vivien Contant managed to get in a good position for a shot. Cosa nostra Lyon's supporters rose to their feet, but Vivien Contant was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Elói Cordeiro breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. An unexpectedly hard shot by Vivien Contant in the 18th minute of play forced Alvinegro de Tupã's goalkeeper Elói Cordeiro to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After 18 played minutes Alvinegro de Tupã got a freekick which was hit by Eriberto Donato. In the 19th minute of the match Felix Ré shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Elói Cordeiro showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. Elói Cordeiro showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Vivien Contant, who was totally free with the ball in the 22nd minute. Elói Cordeiro took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Erwann Patrice, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Vivien Contant sent away a hard shot on goal in the 27th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. The crowd rose to their feet as Cosa nostra Lyon's Vivien Contant slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Elói Cordeiro. That made the score 2-0 after 28 minutes of play. If Vivien Contant had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 35th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. 37 minutes into the match, Alvinegro de Tupã's goal looked a bit too open when Vivien Contant came free, but Elói Cordeiro reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Vivien Contant sent away a hard shot on goal in the 39th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. After a rather tough play, Alvinegro de Tupã's Hélder Trigo got a free kick in the 40th minute. Vivien Contant was really disappointed when he shot the ball just outside the right post instead of scoring a goal in the 41st minute. Cosa nostra Lyon's manager could be seen on the sidelines shaking his head and muttering to himself as his team had just wasted another chance. The audience thought a goal was coming when Vivien Contant got free with Elói Cordeiro in the 42nd minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. In the 47th minute the ball was on its way in behind Alvinegro de Tupã's goalkeeper Elói Cordeiro, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 2-0 at half-time.

Cosa nostra Lyon's Pierre-Louis Dubourdieu was substituted for Vivien Contant. The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Marcel Netto was the one to do the kick off. Pierre-Louis Dubourdieu received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 73rd minute. Elói Cordeiro tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Cosa nostra Lyon's Anatole Jannin quite brazenly broke a throw-in by Tostão Branco, made in the 74th minute of the game. Elói Cordeiro didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Erwann Patrice went, in the 75th minute, to the upper right corner, 5-0 was the resulting score. In the 78th minute, Pierre-Louis Dubourdieu left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Cosa nostra Lyon fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 6-0. If Pierre-Louis Dubourdieu had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 85th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. When the match had gone on for 88 minutes, Pierre-Louis Dubourdieu put it in 7-0 from a short distance just to the right of Elói Cordeiro. Tostão Branco made in the 91st minute of the game a throw-in that took a bad bounce and was taken care of by Cosa nostra Lyon's Erwann Patrice. An unexpectedly hard shot by Pierre-Louis Dubourdieu in the 93rd minute of play forced Alvinegro de Tupã's goalkeeper Elói Cordeiro to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. If Pierre-Louis Dubourdieu had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 97th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. It was no surprise that this one had ended in a win for the home team. Cosa nostra Lyon had played much better football throughout.
