After 38 played minutes The Nerd Herd got a freekick which was hit by Brage Vetrhus. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Louie Arredondo during the 41st minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. A collision led to Tango en Miami FC getting a freekick after 41 minutes play. Louie Arredondo hit a great ball. Geir-Inge Torstensen was probably a little too eager to shoot when he, in the 42nd played minute, shot the ball from way out. The shot was hard, but the ball flew wide of the goal. After some fancy dribbling in the 47th minute, Brage Vetrhus managed to get in a good position for a shot. The Nerd Herd's supporters rose to their feet, but Brage Vetrhus was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Paul Gary breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. The fans had the chance to grab some refreshments as the whistle went for half-time. The score stood at 1-1 after a close first half.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Roman Ogden to make the kick off. In the 52nd minute Carson McCann shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Asmund Sjøberg saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 53 minutes into the match, Tango en Miami FC's goalkeeper Paul Gary had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Brage Vetrhus. With a little luck, Tango en Miami FC's Paul Gary got control of the ball when Brage Vetrhus tried to sneak it across the goal line. If Brage Vetrhus had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 56th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. The audience thought a goal was coming when Brage Vetrhus got free with Paul Gary in the 56th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Roman Ogden in the 66th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Asmund Sjøberg prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Brage Vetrhus took the ball and in the 68 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Paul Gary. Paul Gary dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 1-2. Paul Gary was in the perfect position, and the defense had done a good job marking him, but Brage Vetrhus showcased his skills and made a perfect shot to score 1-3 in the 71 minute of play. Tango en Miami FC's Paul Gary played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Jeppe Løvli in the 76th minute of play. Brage Vetrhus blasted a shot towards the goal in the 80th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Paul Gary having to make a save. Paul Gary made an important save on a dangerous shot by Brage Vetrhus in the 83rd minute. Paul Gary stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Odin Fjeldberg's shot from short distance in the 89th minute. After 92 played minutes Tango en Miami FC got a freekick which was hit by Louie Arredondo. After 94 minutes Tango en Miami FC's defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Geir-Inge Torstensen who took care of the corner kick. A nice corner shot did that Geir-Inge Torstensen got away a dangerous shot. Despite this Paul Gary quite easily got ahold of the ball to make the save. In the 96th minute Odin Fjeldberg shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Paul Gary saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The The Nerd Herd supporters could be heard counting down the last seconds of the match. They errupted in celebration when the whistle blew, knowing The Nerd Herd would go home with victory in their luggage after a match that easily could have ended differently.
