Bras Pizarro received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 14th minute. Roman Tomporowski tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. If Roch Betonowy had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 20th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Pepe Concellon showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Feliks Haszczak in the 22nd minute of the match. Pepe Concellon made a fantastic save in the 25th minute, when Feliks Haszczak sent off a good shot on target. Roman Tomporowski didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Roberto Pato went, in the 27th minute, to the upper right corner, 1-2 was the resulting score. In the 34th minute, Severino Bruna hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. When Roch Betonowy fell near the penalty area in the 35th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Śląsk Bytom's protests and gave Roch Betonowy a yellow card for diving instead. Roch Betonowy kicked well hit freekick during the 35th minute of the match. Roberto Pato hit a great freekick 39 minutes into the match. Erwin-Alexander De La Rosa-Choca charged in rather forcefully in the 43rd minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Erwin-Alexander De La Rosa-Choca the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. Erwin-Alexander De La Rosa-Choca kicked well hit freekick during the 44th minute of the match. Luck had favoured the away team in the first, and they walked off with a 1-2 lead.

The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Szczepan Klocko during the 91st minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. The supporters of Obrero Barquisimeto booed when Śląsk Bytom was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 91 match minutes in a wonderful position. Szczepan Klocko didn't get a good kick on the ball.
