Atacan Dündaroğlu came out of the goal in the 5th minute to try and stop a shot by Real Sociedad's Libertad Sarmiento. But to his dismay, Libertad Sarmiento quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-1. In the 9th minute, Libertad Sarmiento ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Atacan Dündaroğlu was frozen by the shot and now it was 0-2. 12 minutes into the game, Vicente Millano cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 0-3. Atacan Dündaroğlu was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. 15 minutes into the match, Libertad Sarmiento notched a goal, 0-4, to the right of SEFEROĞULLARI's Atacan Dündaroğlu. Atacan Dündaroğlu was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. After having played for 18 minutes, Libertad Sarmiento managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Real Sociedad's supporters crossed their fingers, but Libertad Sarmiento was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. In the 20th minute, Libertad Sarmiento ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Atacan Dündaroğlu was frozen by the shot and now it was 0-5. After a rather tough play, SEFEROĞULLARI's Baki Temizhan got a free kick in the 26th minute. Atacan Dündaroğlu didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Libertad Sarmiento went, in the 31st minute, to the upper right corner, 0-7 was the resulting score. Şükrü Sağbilge sent away a hard shot on goal in the 35th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. The audience thought a goal was coming when Şükrü Sağbilge got free with Sauveur Lisundia in the 38th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Sauveur Lisundia made a fantastic save in the 39th minute, when Mehmet Oğuz Selahaddin sent off a good shot on target. An unexpectedly hard shot by Libertad Sarmiento in the 47th minute of play forced SEFEROĞULLARI's goalkeeper Atacan Dündaroğlu to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Disappointed in the 0-7 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Mehmet Oğuz Selahaddin to make the kick off. With a little luck, SEFEROĞULLARI's Atacan Dündaroğlu got control of the ball when Libertad Sarmiento tried to sneak it across the goal line. If Libertad Sarmiento had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 61st minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. A collision led to SEFEROĞULLARI getting a freekick after 61 minutes play. Atilla Tarkan Gündüz hit a great ball. Sauveur Lisundia showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Şükrü Sağbilge, who was totally free with the ball in the 65th minute. After a rather tough play, Real Sociedad's Frédéric Pantel got a free kick in the 75th minute. 76 minutes into the match, SEFEROĞULLARI's Şükrü Sağbilge broke free and took a long shot that unfortunately flew wide. A fine initiative that could have resulted in a goal. Libertad Sarmiento charged in rather forcefully in the 78th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Libertad Sarmiento the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. Vicente Millanos short, quick shot in the 90thth minute got Atacan Dündaroğlu to make great effort and bar the ball away from getting in. After 94 minutes Real Sociedad's defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Şükrü Sağbilge who took care of the corner kick. A nice corner shot did that Şükrü Sağbilge got away a dangerous shot. Despite this Sauveur Lisundia quite easily got ahold of the ball to make the save. Real Sociedad's players went to the stands to thank the travelling support. The fan's backing had helped spurr the team on to a fine performance that won them the match.
