A collision led to FC Blueskatterna getting a freekick after 12 minutes play. Esbjörn Hybbert hit a great ball. After 17 minutes El Canalla de Chicago's defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Dan Ödman who took care of the corner kick. After taking down the ball on FC Blueskatterna's corner Daniel Västberg fired away a hard shot, but the defenders efficiently covered the most dangerous angles and Bart Villanueva quite easily take care of the ball. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Rudolf Pendleton was the one to do the kick off. Bart Villanueva showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Jonathan Bohlin in the 53rd minute of the match. Martin Tuttle received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 57th minute. Ivan Rolandsson tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. El Canalla de Chicago's Emmanuel Akers was substituted for Lazaro Ragsdale. 62 minutes into the match, FC Blueskatterna's goal looked a bit too open when Kevin Roark came free, but Ivan Rolandsson reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Karl-Johan Dahlberg didn't get a good kick on the ball. The crowd rose to their feet and cheered when the referee blew the final whistle. El Canalla de Chicago had won after a very even match.
