In the 23rd minute of the match Jataiense Futebol Clube got a corner. Merusca F&P's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Gong Cheng Yao ran over to the corner to take the kick. The corner led to Jataiense Futebol Clube's Candido Urbes getting away a dangerous shot that went just outside the goal. Sem Titulescu showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Walmir Pontes, who was totally free with the ball in the 27th minute. After a rather tough play, Jataiense Futebol Clube's Leif Broman got a free kick in the 28th minute. Jataiense Futebol Clube's Sem Titulescu played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Dorian do Vale in the 30th minute of play. Franz Dubosq showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Emílio Lendaa in the 31st minute of the match. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Candido Urbes couldn't finish the play.
