Lisandro Orlanda fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 11th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Arturo Lartaun having to interfere. The audience thought a goal was coming when Jeronimo Ixaka got free with Arturo Lartaun in the 13th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Arturo Lartaun made a fantastic save in the 15th minute, when Jeronimo Ixaka sent off a good shot on target. Fermin Nerio hit a great freekick 16 minutes into the match. Ivan Manny showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Hilario Shepherd in the 20th minute of the match. Ivan Manny took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Hilario Shepherd, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. 26 minutes into the match, Hilario Shepherd had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Ivan Manny. Los Triperos F.C.'s manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Hilario Shepherd was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 0-1. After having played for 41 minutes, Jeronimo Ixaka managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Los Triperos F.C.'s supporters crossed their fingers, but Jeronimo Ixaka was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Arturo Lartaun was out of position in the 47 minute of play, and Jeronimo Ixaka capitalized on the mistake with a soft shot into the goal. Jeronimo Ixaka really showed his touch with that goal: 1-1. After a very even first half the match was still tied. The players went to their respective dressing rooms to discuss the tactics for the second half.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Hilario Shepherd to strike the kick off in the second half. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Hilario Shepherd during the 53rd minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. Mauricio Chorche charged in rather forcefully in the 54th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Mauricio Chorche the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. Ivan Manny made an important save on a dangerous shot by Hilario Shepherd in the 59th minute. Jeronimo Ixaka's late challenge caught a Munro Azulgrana's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Jeronimo Ixaka helped the player get up and apologised. In the 63rd minute, Jeronimo Ixaka hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. This resulted in a 1-2 score and a disappointed Ivan Manny as he didn't even see the shot coming. In the 77th minute the ball was on its way in behind Munro Azulgrana's goalkeeper Arturo Lartaun, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. After some careless play in the Munro Azulgrana defense, Jeronimo Ixaka kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Arturo Lartaun. The Munro Azulgrana fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Arturo Lartaun should have stopped the shot. Lisandro Orlanda received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 91st minute. Arturo Lartaun tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere.
