After a rather tough play, Fc Tuggen's Victor Ducharme got a free kick in the 2nd minute. When Bernd Schuler fell near the penalty area in the 5th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Fc Tuggen's protests and gave Bernd Schuler a yellow card for diving instead. In the 6th minute, Bernd Schuler hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Amadeu Vaz charged in rather forcefully in the 9th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Amadeu Vaz the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. Juninho Sergipano lost his temper 12 minutes into the game and shoved another player to the ground. He was immediately shown a red card. A collision led to SeleSantos FC getting a freekick after 12 minutes play. Juninho Sergipano hit a great ball. Fc Tuggen's Fidelio Naumann got a good chance for a goal in the 13th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. In the 14th match minute, SeleSantos FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Jeferson Botelho to maneuver through the defense. When Cauan Cordeiro fell near the penalty area in the 16th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored SeleSantos FC's protests and gave Cauan Cordeiro a yellow card for diving instead. Fidelio Naumann's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Roberto Oliveira read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 17th minute of play. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Bernd Schuler in the 20th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Roberto Oliveira saved SeleSantos FC from getting behind. Teobaldo Wellauer made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Cássio Nunes in the 23rd minute of play. Roberto Oliveira made an important save on a dangerous shot by Bernd Schuler in the 24th minute. Thorsten Lanbrigger kicked well hit freekick during the 26th minute of the match. Luiz Eduardo Passos kicked well hit freekick during the 31st minute of the match. If Léo Sena had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 44th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Michel Leubler hit a great freekick 45 minutes into the match. After a very even first half the match was still tied. The players went to their respective dressing rooms to discuss the tactics for the second half.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Cássio Nunes to strike the kick off in the second half. Léo Sena sent away a hard shot on goal in the 61st minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 62nd minute, Cássio Nunes got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. After 67 played minutes SeleSantos FC got a freekick which was hit by Pedro Luís Amorim. Cássio Nunes fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 76th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Teobaldo Wellauer having to interfere. Cássio Nunes sent away a hard shot on goal in the 89th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Roberto Oliveira made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Bernd Schuler in the 95th minute of play. The referee blew the final whistle, and the away crowd roared, having watched SeleSantos FC eke out a victory against a very well matched opponent.
