In the 14th match minute, Libertadores Fútbol Club was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Mariano Cruzado to maneuver through the defense. Gauargi Reyes might have been able to make a better finish in the 19th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Alejandro-Ramón Hualde. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Gauargi Reyes ran back to his position shaking his head. Tirso Abancens's late challenge caught a Libertadores Fútbol Club's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Tirso Abancens helped the player get up and apologised. In the 26th match minute, Munat Tayka was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Tirso Abancens to maneuver through the defense. Munat Tayka's Alejandro-Ramón Hualde played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Gauargi Reyes in the 29th minute of play. 33 minutes into the game, Munat Tayka's Honesto Abeita nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Sayveon Ripol made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 1-1. After fighting hard for a draw in the first half, the players were able to take a much needed rest.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Honesto Abeita was the one to do the kick off. When Munat Tayka's Tirso Abancens in the 53rd minute got a chance for a shot 53rd didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie.
