If Hector Carrizo had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 3rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 4th minute, Evaristo Vaz hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. The crowd rose to their feet as Evaristo Vaz kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Janes Hendricks. That made the score 1-0 in the 10 minute of play. In the 18th minute Abilio Rieta shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Janes Hendricks saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Janes Hendricks made a fantastic save in the 21st minute, when Abilio Rieta sent off a good shot on target. Abilio Rieta could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 26th minute of the match, but Janes Hendricks made a huge save. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Javiero Gordo during the 29th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. A collision led to MANIACOS getting a freekick after 29 minutes play. Javiero Gordo hit a great ball. After 32 played minutes MANIACOS got a freekick which was hit by Vitoria Eradi. FC Gullegem's Janes Hendricks played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Abilio Rieta in the 35th minute of play. Rito Vasquez showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Roy Tuerlinckx in the 40th minute of the match. When Nicolaas Winnepennincx came up free with the goalie in the 43rd minute, the FC Gullegem fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Nicolaas Winnepennincx couldn't finish the play. Rito Vasquez showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Robben Degryse, who was totally free with the ball in the 45th minute.

The wind increased when Kenny De Block made the kick off in the second half. After some fancy dribbling in the 55th minute, Jerom Van Impe managed to get in a good position for a shot. FC Gullegem's supporters rose to their feet, but Jerom Van Impe was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Rito Vasquez breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. The audience thought a goal was coming when Kenny De Block got free with Rito Vasquez in the 57th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. After 59 played minutes FC Gullegem got a freekick which was hit by Roy Tuerlinckx. Kenny De Block's shot when he came free in front of the goal in the 64thth minute, Rito Vasquez skillfully showed off with a save to what seemed to be an obvious goal. Rito Vasquez made an important save on a dangerous shot by Kenny De Block in the 67th minute. Janes Hendricks took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Jerold Iturcha, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 80th minute, Abilio Rieta ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Janes Hendricks was frozen by the shot and now it was 2-1. In the 87th minute, Jerom Van Impe got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Robben Degryse could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 90th minute of the match, but Rito Vasquez made a huge save. An unexpectedly hard shot by Jerom Van Impe in the 92nd minute of play forced MANIACOS's goalkeeper Rito Vasquez to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball.
