Christian Thorsberg could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 10th minute of the match, but Kristóf Császár made a huge save. After a rather tough play, Edelényi Bányász's Ottó Rózsa got a free kick in the 11th minute. The supporters of Golden Lions FC booed when Edelényi Bányász was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 13 match minutes in a wonderful position. Nándor Karsai didn't get a good kick on the ball. Joakim Tham charged in rather forcefully in the 16th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Joakim Tham the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. A collision led to Golden Lions FC getting a freekick after 16 minutes play. Christian Thorsberg could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 24th minute of the match, but Kristóf Császár made a huge save. Kristóf Császár showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Christian Thorsberg, who was totally free with the ball in the 27th minute. In a very dangerous position, a player in Edelényi Bányász fell when an opponent tried to get the ball from him in the 29th minute. Penalty! Kristóf Császár made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 2-0. Kristóf Császár made a fantastic save in the 46th minute, when Christian Thorsberg sent off a good shot on target. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 2-0.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Tamás Lőrincz to strike the kick off in the second half. 51 minutes into the game, Joakim Tham cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 3-0. Kristóf Császár was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Christian Thorsberg sent away a hard shot on goal in the 55th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. The supporters of Edelényi Bányász booed when Golden Lions FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 59 match minutes in a wonderful position. Christian Thorsberg didn't get a good kick on the ball. Sebastian Axelsson might have been able to make a better finish in the 62nd minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Kristóf Császár. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Sebastian Axelsson ran back to his position shaking his head. Kristóf Császár took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Christian Thorsberg, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Kristóf Császár showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Christian Thorsberg in the 68th minute of the match. A collision led to Golden Lions FC getting a freekick after 72 minutes play. Svante Sigman hit a great ball. Tamás Lőrincz fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 73rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Conny Ånger having to interfere. Edelényi Bányász's Kristóf Császár played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Christian Thorsberg in the 75th minute of play. 76 minutes had been played when some careless play by Edelényi Bányász's defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. Sebastian Axelsson was slow to take the kick. During this time Golden Lions FC's players had a chance to rest. It was a well-played corner which Bengt-Rune Wallin managed to volley towards the net. Unfortunately, he didn't get a great hit on the ball and it went out into the grandstand. If Ádám Sárközi had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 81st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Kristóf Császár made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Christian Thorsberg in the 83rd minute of play. For all the effort they put into the match, the Edelényi Bányász players left disappointed. They had fought hard, but couldn't break down the home team's defense. The match ended in a win for Golden Lions FC.
