In the 3rd match minute, FC NORDLAND was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Emil Arenius to maneuver through the defense. In the 6th minute Andreas Hernaiz shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Timo Courtois saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Angelillo Di Maria received a nice pass, split the defenders, and ran untouched towards the goal. Timo Courtois came out and tried to block the shot, but Angelillo Di Maria slotted it home off the left post making it 1-0 in the 7th minute. In the 10thth minute of the game Tunç Akkaya who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but FC NORDLAND's Joar Frisck was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Joar Frisck stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Tunç Akkaya's shot from short distance in the 11th minute. Joar Frisck made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Tunç Akkaya in the 13th minute of play. Timo Courtois stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Andreas Hernaiz's shot from short distance in the 16th minute. 17 minutes into the match, SSV Ulm 1846's goalkeeper Timo Courtois had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Hjalmar Pettersson. Thomas Schwerma made in the 19th minute of the game a quick throw-in and Emil Arenius immediately put the ball in play. Tunç Akkaya sent away a hard shot on goal in the 22nd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Tunç Akkaya in the 25th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Joar Frisck saved FC NORDLAND from getting behind. When the match had gone on for 31 minutes, Hjalmar Pettersson took a quick shot and it went in 2-1 without a chance for Timo Courtois to make any attempt to save it. In the 35th minute, Andreas Hernaiz got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. In the 36th match minute, SSV Ulm 1846 was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Lech Raszek to maneuver through the defense. In the 38th minute, Alberigo Sessa ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Joar Frisck was frozen by the shot and now it was 2-2. With a little luck, SSV Ulm 1846's Timo Courtois got control of the ball when Angelillo Di Maria tried to sneak it across the goal line. If Tunç Akkaya had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 42nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. SSV Ulm 1846's Delmiro Jayvier got a good chance for a goal in the 44th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Through an outstanding action, after 46 minutes, Timo Courtois successfully got his hands on the ball before it slid into the goal at the right post. Joar Frisck showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Tunç Akkaya in the 47th minute of the match. After a very even first half the match was still tied. The players went to their respective dressing rooms to discuss the tactics for the second half.

The wind increased when Andreas Hernaiz made the kick off in the second half. In the 52nd minute Andreas Hernaiz shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Timo Courtois saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Timo Courtois showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Andreas Hernaiz, who was totally free with the ball in the 54th minute. 55 minutes into the match, SSV Ulm 1846's Tunç Akkaya sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Joar Frisck narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Emil Arenius's late challenge caught a SSV Ulm 1846's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Joar Frisck took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Tunç Akkaya, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 75th minute of the match SSV Ulm 1846 got a corner. FC NORDLAND's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Sven-Olof Lilja ran over to the corner to take the kick. A collision led to FC NORDLAND getting a freekick after 77 minutes play. Hjalmar Pettersson hit a great ball. Tunç Akkaya sent away a hard shot on goal in the 81st minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. Through an outstanding action, after 81 minutes, Joar Frisck successfully got his hands on the ball before it slid into the goal at the right post. Timo Courtois made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Angelillo Di Maria in the 82nd minute of play. If Tunç Akkaya had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 86th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Tunç Akkaya in the 88th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Joar Frisck saved FC NORDLAND from getting behind. In the 92nd minute, Christof Mehlbaum hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. SSV Ulm 1846's supporters were very happy and cheered loudly because their team had won after a very close match.
