In the 19th minute Gaudencio Lekubegi shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Hieronim Olchawa saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Gaudencio Lekubegi blasted a shot towards the goal in the 20th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Hieronim Olchawa having to make a save. Iwan Lepucki showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Xesus Reyes in the 25th minute of the match. A nice corner shot did that Artur Kapinos got away a dangerous shot. Despite this Iwan Lepucki quite easily got ahold of the ball to make the save. If Gaudencio Lekubegi had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 47th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Hieronim Olchawa took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Gaudencio Lekubegi, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Neron Veterini stepped up to make the kick off in the second half.
