The audience thought a goal was coming when Thananiti Cheewawipat got free with Şenol Güneş in the 3rd minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Willem-Jan Hollanders took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Simon Iratze, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Albino Garaona hit a great freekick 5 minutes into the match. In the 6th minute of the match Rudy Neefs shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Şenol Güneş showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. In the 12th minute Felipe Pereyra shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Willem-Jan Hollanders saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 15thth minute of the game Thananiti Cheewawipat who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but LOS MENTI's Şenol Güneş was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. After 15 minutes, Thananiti Cheewawipat made it 1-0 with a short kick to the right side. LOS MENTI's Şenol Güneş tried to save the shot but he was too slow in reacting to the shot. When LOS MENTI's 汪常然 in the 18th minute got a chance for a shot 18th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. Tim Vranken went to the cornerflag to take it. The corner led Les Bistouquettes Bleues's Tim Vranken to fire away a dangerous shot which Şenol Güneş despite some difficulties managed to get hold on the ball. Jeremey De Messemaecker struck a weak shot in the 31st minute. Şenol Güneş didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Les Bistouquettes Bleues. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Simon Iratze in the 34th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Willem-Jan Hollanders saved Les Bistouquettes Bleues from getting behind. Şenol Güneş came out of the goal in the 39th minute to try and stop a shot by Les Bistouquettes Bleues's Thananiti Cheewawipat. But to his dismay, Thananiti Cheewawipat quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 2-0. In the 42nd minute, Tim Vranken got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Willem-Jan Hollanders stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Simon Iratze's shot from short distance in the 44th minute. In the 45th match minute, Les Bistouquettes Bleues was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Arnaud Vandamme to maneuver through the defense. Albino Garaona kicked well hit freekick during the 46th minute of the match. Af the end of the first half the score was 2-0. The first half had gone as expected for the home team.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Thananiti Cheewawipat stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Şenol Güneş showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Thananiti Cheewawipat in the 51st minute of the match. LOS MENTI's Şenol Güneş played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Tim Vranken in the 52nd minute of play. 56 minutes into the match, LOS MENTI's goal looked a bit too open when Tran Milters came free, but Şenol Güneş reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 77th minute Bryan Creemers shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Şenol Güneş saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Simon Iratze fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 79th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Willem-Jan Hollanders having to interfere.
