After 7 played minutes Bone Breakers got a freekick which was hit by Ernesto Alfonso. 12 minutes had been played when some careless play by Bone Breakers's defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. Denis Inestrosa was slow to take the kick. During this time Club Olimpia's players had a chance to rest. Club Olimpia's Denis Inestrosa was first on the ball when the corner was shot and he dangerously headed the ball towards goal, but Fabian Arendarski in the goal jumped up to prevent it from getting in. Fabian Arendarski took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Nelson Haedo, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Through an outstanding action, after 53 minutes, Alfredo Aguilar successfully got his hands on the ball before it slid into the goal at the right post.
