Remus Pinczewski came out of the goal and Feijo Freire tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Cristinel Bocaneț during the 16th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. Michal Korčák showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Iustin Chificeac in the 20th minute of the match. An unexpectedly hard shot by Feijo Freire in the 23rd minute of play forced MIT Craiova's goalkeeper Remus Pinczewski to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Remus Pinczewski made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Bořek Kalista in the 40th minute of play. Dinu Lobonț kicked well hit freekick during the 47th minute of the match. Remus Pinczewski showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Bořek Kalista in the 47th minute of the match. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 2-1.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. The MIT Craiova support was delighted with a win in a match that could easily have ended differently.
