The Bialski Bastion Legii fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Walery Bartelak should have stopped the shot. 10 minutes into the game, Thiago Machado cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 0-2. Walery Bartelak was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. If Steve Hyuga had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 15th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Walery Bartelak showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Steve Hyuga in the 18th minute of the match. After 21 minutes of play, Coritiba Foot Ball Club's Caetano Ponta made it 0-3 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Walery Bartelak was left in no man's land by his defense there! The audience was convinced that Thiago Machado's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Walery Bartelak was relentless in the 24th minute of the game. Walery Bartelak made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Thiago Machado in the 27th minute of play. Klei Berson's late challenge caught a Bialski Bastion Legii's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. After a rather tough play, Coritiba Foot Ball Club's Steve Hyuga got a free kick in the 35th minute. Walery Bartelak made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Thiago Machado in the 37th minute of play. Walery Bartelak took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Steve Hyuga, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. The corner led Coritiba Foot Ball Club's Fiori Tasso to fire away a dangerous shot which Walery Bartelak despite some difficulties managed to get hold on the ball. When Jacek Domeradzki fell near the penalty area in the 42nd minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Bialski Bastion Legii's protests and gave Jacek Domeradzki a yellow card for diving instead. The supporters of Coritiba Foot Ball Club booed when Bialski Bastion Legii was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 42 match minutes in a wonderful position. Jacek Domeradzki didn't get a good kick on the ball. Walery Bartelak showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Thiago Machado, who was totally free with the ball in the 46th minute.
The wind increased when Boguslaw Bartochowski made the kick off in the second half. After a defensive mix-up in Bialski Bastion Legii's zone, Thiago Machado stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Walery Bartelak came out of the goal and Thiago Machado tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. 53 minutes into the match, Bialski Bastion Legii's goalkeeper Walery Bartelak had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Caetano Ponta. An unexpectedly hard shot by Jacek Domeradzki in the 54th minute of play forced Coritiba Foot Ball Club's goalkeeper Delfim Dantas to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 58th minute, Thiago Machado reached a very good position and smashed the ball with a huge effort into the net, just to the left of Walery Bartelak. The goal made the score 1-4. An unexpectedly hard shot by Thiago Machado in the 62nd minute of play forced Bialski Bastion Legii's goalkeeper Walery Bartelak to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. When Michal Puzio came up free with the goalie in the 63rd minute, the Bialski Bastion Legii fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Michal Puzio couldn't finish the play. Walery Bartelak didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Thiago Machado went, in the 66th minute, to the upper right corner, 1-5 was the resulting score. In the 71st minute the ball was on its way in behind Bialski Bastion Legii's goalkeeper Walery Bartelak, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. 73 minutes into the game, Thiago Machado cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 1-6. Walery Bartelak was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Walery Bartelak made a fantastic save in the 80th minute, when Thiago Machado sent off a good shot on target. In the 82nd minute, Thiago Machado made a precise shot to the right of Walery Bartelak. Bialski Bastion Legii's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 1-7. After a rather tough play, Bialski Bastion Legii's Michal Puzio got a free kick in the 84th minute. With an all-out effort, Coritiba Foot Ball Club's Walery Bartelak threw himself towards the right post 85 minutes into the match and grabbed hold of the ball from Thiago Machado, which otherwise would have been placed in the net. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Steve Hyuga during the 89th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. In the 89th minute, Steve Hyuga hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 95th minute Thiago Machado shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Walery Bartelak saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The Bialski Bastion Legii fans had already started to leave before the final whistle blew. Coritiba Foot Ball Club were clearly better and deserved to take the win.
