Nacional's Luciano Inverso shoveled away a really nice long shot in the 3rd minute of play. The shot was stopped by Lew Yashin but with some difficulty. In the 4th match minute, Nacional was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Cordarrol Chamochin to maneuver through the defense. 8 minutes into the game, Artur Adamski was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Modlau's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Nacional the free kick. In the 8th match minute, Modlau was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Artur Adamski to maneuver through the defense. After some careless play in the Modlau defense, Joel Soldevila kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Lew Yashin. The Modlau fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Lew Yashin should have stopped the shot. The supporters of Nacional booed when Modlau was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 12 match minutes in a wonderful position. Juliusz Slazak didn't get a good kick on the ball. Demesio Verdeja came out of the goal in the 14th minute to try and stop a shot by Modlau's Artur Adamski. But to his dismay, Artur Adamski quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 1-1. 21 minutes into the match, Modlau's goal looked a bit too open when Marcelo Obana came free, but Lew Yashin reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Luciano Inverso hit a great freekick 21 minutes into the match. After some fancy dribbling in the 22nd minute, Artur Adamski managed to get in a good position for a shot. Modlau's supporters rose to their feet, but Artur Adamski was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Demesio Verdeja breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Demesio Verdeja made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Juliusz Slazak in the 27th minute of play. The supporters of Modlau booed when Nacional was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 35 match minutes in a wonderful position. Joel Soldevila didn't get a good kick on the ball. Demesio Verdeja took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Juliusz Slazak, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After a rather tough play, Nacional's Sebastián Coates got a free kick in the 41st minute. An unexpectedly hard shot by Artur Adamski in the 42nd minute of play forced Nacional's goalkeeper Demesio Verdeja to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Roldanillo Ucedo hit a great freekick 42 minutes into the match. Disappointed in the 1-2 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Marcelo Obana to make the kick off. Luciano Inverso charged in rather forcefully in the 50th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Luciano Inverso the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. The supporters of Modlau booed when Nacional was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 50 match minutes in a wonderful position. Luciano Inverso didn't get a good kick on the ball. If Alfred Wyrzykowski had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 58th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 63rdth minute of the game Marcelo Obana who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Modlau's Lew Yashin was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Marcelo Obana in the 65th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Lew Yashin prevented the ball from getting in the gole. In the 66th minute Nacional were awarded a corner. Luciano Inverso went to the cornerflag to take it. The corner ended in Luciano Inverso almost managing to get the ball behind the net, but Modlau's Lew Yashin did a great save. When the match clock showed 75 minutes, the score became 4-2 when Marcelo Obana sped through Modlau's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Lew Yashin. After 79 played minutes Modlau got a freekick which was hit by Cyprian Bochinski. Artur Adamski fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 84th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Demesio Verdeja having to interfere. Artur Adamski received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 89th minute. Demesio Verdeja tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Lew Yashin made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Cordarrol Chamochin in the 92nd minute of play. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Marcelo Obana in the 95th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Lew Yashin prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Nacional were really happy, having secured the victory after a very even contest. They thanked the players of Modlau for a fine match.
