Medero Gadea recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 7th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. An unexpectedly hard shot by Gene Emmenegger in the 14th minute of play forced A.D. Alcorcón's goalkeeper Lucian Segarra to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Gene Emmenegger kicked well hit freekick during the 23rd minute of the match. In the 26th minute Medero Gadea shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Lucian Segarra saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Téo Savion scored 0-1 in the 29th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Lucian Segarra, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. In the 32nd match minute, Olympique Fribourg was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Raik Topuz to maneuver through the defense. The audience thought a goal was coming when Angelo Arenas got free with Patrick Knechtli in the 46th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Disappointed in the 0-1 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.

Medero Gadea could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 53rd minute of the match, but Lucian Segarra made a huge save. Gene Emmenegger fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 55th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Lucian Segarra having to interfere. An unexpectedly hard shot by Felip Japón in the 60th minute of play forced Olympique Fribourg's goalkeeper Patrick Knechtli to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After some careless play in the A.D. Alcorcón defense, Raik Topuz kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Lucian Segarra. The A.D. Alcorcón fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Lucian Segarra should have stopped the shot. Olympique Fribourg's Marcellus Walpert was substituted for Daniel Schroeder. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Raik Topuz in the 67th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Lucian Segarra prevented the ball from getting in the gole. If Gene Emmenegger had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 78th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Angelo Arenas fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 83rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Patrick Knechtli having to interfere. If Raik Topuz had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 94th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Olympique Fribourg played a much better game than A.D. Alcorcón and deserved their victory. The A.D. Alcorcón players were clearly disappointed as they left the ground.
