Boroondara Milan's Myles Surman was first on the ball when the corner was shot and he dangerously headed the ball towards goal, but Michal Hvězda in the goal jumped up to prevent it from getting in. Andres Stevenson charged in rather forcefully in the 12th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Andres Stevenson the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. Andres Stevenson hit a great freekick 12 minutes into the match. Raymond Schonke blasted a shot towards the goal in the 16th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Michal Hvězda having to make a save. Murdock Scalzo received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 27th minute. Michal Hvězda tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After having played for 30 minutes, Raymond Schonke managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Boroondara Milan's supporters crossed their fingers, but Raymond Schonke was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Raymond Schonke fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 35th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Michal Hvězda having to interfere. After 42 minutes, Murdock Scalzo mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Boroondara Milan and the Loko Česká Lípa players grew even worse after the yellow card. After 43 played minutes Boroondara Milan got a freekick which was hit by Murdock Scalzo. 47 minutes into the match, Loko Česká Lípa's goal looked a bit too open when Raymond Schonke came free, but Michal Hvězda reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 1-0 at half-time.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Teodor Kašák made a kick off. Michal Hvězda came out of the goal in the 54th minute to try and stop a shot by Boroondara Milan's Murdock Scalzo. But to his dismay, Murdock Scalzo quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 2-0. In the 56th match minute, Boroondara Milan was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Myles Surman to maneuver through the defense. If Murdock Scalzo had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 60th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. A collision led to Boroondara Milan getting a freekick after 63 minutes play. Adolfo Bundy hit a great ball. Loko Česká Lípa made a substitution. Bedřich Hlaváček replaced Vladimír Štefl. The supporters of Loko Česká Lípa booed when Boroondara Milan was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 65 match minutes in a wonderful position. Adolfo Bundy didn't get a good kick on the ball. The long shot by Radek Horňáček in the 66th minute really tested Jacobs Fazey's skills. The ball was on its way into the goal to the left of him when he managed to stretch himself and save the shot and avoid a goal. When Teodor Kašák got free in front of the goal in the 71st minute he wasn't very focused and chipped the ball just over the goal. Jacobs Fazey was delighted since he was out of position and the ball would have got in if it had gone under the crossbar. Michal Hvězda took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Adam Burmeister, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Raymond Schonke sent away a hard shot on goal in the 76th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. 78 minutes into the match, Murdock Scalzo notched a goal, 3-0, to the right of Loko Česká Lípa's Michal Hvězda. Michal Hvězda was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. After having played for 81 minutes, Larkin Kanack managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Boroondara Milan's supporters crossed their fingers, but Larkin Kanack was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. During the 89th minute of the match Andres Stevenson completely mistimed his tackle and brought down his opponent. The referee gave Andres Stevenson a yellow card, his second in the match, which meant he could no longer take part in the game. After 88 minutes of play, the referee blew the whistle. It was a penalty for Boroondara Milan! Michal Hvězda showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Murdock Scalzo in the 93rd minute of the match. In the 97th minute Teodor Kašák shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Jacobs Fazey saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Boroondara Milan's Jacobs Fazey played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Teodor Kašák in the 99th minute of play.
