Spike Lambley took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Haroldo Edur, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Gez Gale during the 13th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. Gez Gale kicked well hit freekick during the 13th minute of the match. An unexpectedly hard shot by Apolo Min in the 20th minute of play forced Club Atlético de Newell's goalkeeper Spike Lambley to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Spike Lambley made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Haroldo Edur in the 23rd minute of play. Braulio Lawrence hit a great freekick 33 minutes into the match. In the 38th minute, Edward Rushmere got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. In the 39th minute, Basil Holden got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Spike Lambley came out of the goal in the 43rd minute to try and stop a shot by Berutti FC's Serafin James. But to his dismay, Serafin James quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-2. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 0-2 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Haroldo Edur to make the kick off. Spike Lambley made an important save on a dangerous shot by Serafin James in the 60th minute. Basil Holden received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 62nd minute. Fausto Argider tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Edward Rushmere during the 65th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. A collision led to Club Atlético de Newell getting a freekick after 66 minutes play. Edward Rushmere hit a great ball. 68 minutes into the game, Basil Holden was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Club Atlético de Newell's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Berutti FC the free kick. In the 68th match minute, Club Atlético de Newell was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Basil Holden to maneuver through the defense. Spike Lambley was a little too slow when Apolo Min got a fine hit on the ball which went right into the goal in the 71st minute. The score was now 0-3. Spike Lambley made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Apolo Min in the 86th minute of play. After some fancy dribbling in the 87th minute, Saul Silbestre managed to get in a good position for a shot. Berutti FC's supporters rose to their feet, but Saul Silbestre was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Spike Lambley breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. After 90 played minutes Club Atlético de Newell got a freekick which was hit by Gez Gale. In the 95th minute, Serafin James got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal.
