Roy Blake was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. In the 9th minute, Desiderio Gonzales made a precise shot to the right of Roy Blake. Qikiqtarjuaq FC's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 0-2. Roy Blake showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Prudencio Romo in the 17th minute of the match. In the 18th match minute, Qikiqtarjuaq FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Renaldo Battle to maneuver through the defense. When Will Greenberg came up free with the goalie in the 21st minute, the Qikiqtarjuaq FC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Will Greenberg couldn't finish the play. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Cecilio Txordon in the 23rd minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Roy Blake prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Lucien Velasquez's late challenge caught a Gutenberg's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Lucien Velasquez helped the player get up and apologised. In the 24th match minute, Qikiqtarjuaq FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Lucien Velasquez to maneuver through the defense. Miguel Silvino took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 25th minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Roy Blake. Qikiqtarjuaq FC's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. 25 minutes into the game, Baptiste Ritchie was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Qikiqtarjuaq FC's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Gutenberg the free kick. Inocencio Gimenez made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Lucien Velasquez in the 28th minute of play. The supporters of Gutenberg booed when Qikiqtarjuaq FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 33 match minutes in a wonderful position. Scottie Correa didn't get a good kick on the ball. Bernardo Lawrence charged in rather forcefully in the 36th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Bernardo Lawrence the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. In the 36th match minute, Gutenberg was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Bernardo Lawrence to maneuver through the defense. Gutenberg's Cecilio Txordon got a good chance for a goal in the 39th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Eduardo Oton during the 40th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. After 43 played minutes Gutenberg got a freekick which was hit by Cecilio Txordon. In the 46th match minute, Gutenberg was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Miguel Silvino to maneuver through the defense. The crowd was extremely unhappy with the home team's performance in the first half. They were losing 0-3.

In the 59th minute, Eduardo Oton hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After some fancy dribbling in the 65th minute, Bernardo Lawrence managed to get in a good position for a shot. Gutenberg's supporters rose to their feet, but Bernardo Lawrence was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Roy Blake breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. In the 69th match minute, Gutenberg was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Bernardo Lawrence to maneuver through the defense. After 76 minutes of play, Gutenberg's Prudencio Romo made it 1-4 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Roy Blake was left in no man's land by his defense there! Roy Blake came out of the goal in the 84th minute to try and stop a shot by Gutenberg's Prudencio Romo. But to his dismay, Prudencio Romo quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 1-5. In the 88th minute, Jewel Coats hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After a defensive mix-up in Qikiqtarjuaq FC's zone, Cecilio Txordon stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Roy Blake came out of the goal and Cecilio Txordon tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. After a rather tough play, Qikiqtarjuaq FC's Renaldo Battle got a free kick in the 92nd minute. Gutenberg's fans were overjoyed with their teams well-earned victory and stayed in the stadium long after the final whistle to celebrate the win.
