Paul Heyckendorf took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Godfried Teunens, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 14th minute, Kurt Ahrem ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Humberto Salomone was frozen by the shot and now it was 1-0. Godfried Teunens's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Paul Heyckendorf read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 17th minute of play. Amado Filipo made a great header on La Bichineta's corner, it was just that Academica Pulheim's Paul Heyckendorf managed to reach the ball for a save. In the 23rd minute La Bichineta were awarded a corner. Poncio Justo went to the cornerflag to take it. Godfried Teunens's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Paul Heyckendorf read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 24th minute of play. After 37 minutes of play, La Bichineta's Godfried Teunens made it 1-2 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Paul Heyckendorf was left in no man's land by his defense there! After some fancy dribbling in the 47th minute, Godfried Teunens managed to get in a good position for a shot. La Bichineta's supporters rose to their feet, but Godfried Teunens was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Paul Heyckendorf breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick.

The wind increased when Godfried Teunens made the kick off in the second half. Paul Heyckendorf made an important save on a dangerous shot by Godfried Teunens in the 51st minute. Vennard Rojak sent away a hard shot on goal in the 56th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. Academica Pulheim's Sergio Ramos was substituted for Manuel Tiede. In the 75th minute, Alex Mansilha ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Humberto Salomone was frozen by the shot and now it was 2-4. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Alex Mansilha in the 77th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Humberto Salomone saved La Bichineta from getting behind. A throw-in in the 79th minute of the game was made by Reinhard Baum with Alex Mansilha as target, who quickly passed the ball forward. José Ignacio Fernández could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 82nd minute of the match, but Paul Heyckendorf made a huge save. The La Bichineta supporters could be heard counting down the last seconds of the match. They errupted in celebration when the whistle blew, knowing La Bichineta would go home with victory in their luggage after a match that easily could have ended differently.
