Uriel Lleir fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 24th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Mauro Barreto having to interfere. When Astor Barbosa fell near the penalty area in the 28th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Motu's protests and gave Astor Barbosa a yellow card for diving instead. In the 28th match minute, Motu was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Astor Barbosa to maneuver through the defense. In the 31st minute Vitório Nascimento shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Valentin Gau saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. If Hipolito Osmundo had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 46th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The crowd was extremely unhappy with the home team's performance in the first half. They were losing 1-2.
The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Charles Recife was the one to do the kick off. Motu's Valentin Gau played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Vitório Nascimento in the 52nd minute of play. A collision led to Motu getting a freekick after 53 minutes play. Anastasio Garaona hit a great ball. Valentin Gau showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Ace Spade in the 54th minute of the match. Neither set of supporters seemed pleased with the draw, but both teams had played equally well today.
