In the 67th minute Samuel Vaz shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Alfredo Matteo saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 69 minutes into the match, Samuel Vaz notched a goal, 2-0, to the right of C.A.Independiente's Alfredo Matteo. Alfredo Matteo was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Lars Setz came out of the goal and Adolfo Sidro tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Tolek Kornatowski in the 89th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Alfredo Matteo saved C.A.Independiente from getting behind. Adolfo Sidro took the ball and in the 91 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Lars Setz. Lars Setz dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 2-1. C.A.Independiente's Alfredo Matteo played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Zbyszko Galaska in the 94th minute of play. A collision led to Denti della Vecchia getting a freekick after 96 minutes play. Ball Pitt hit a great ball.
