Olimpia HSB's Fabian Czeszejko got a good chance for a goal in the 2nd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. A collision led to Olimpia HSB getting a freekick after 3 minutes play. Ezequiel Abecia hit a great ball. An unexpectedly hard shot by Fabian Czeszejko in the 7th minute of play forced Ibirama Futebol Clube's goalkeeper Víktor Freire to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Vladan Kovačević made an important save on a dangerous shot by Roger Guerra in the 9th minute. When the match had gone on for 10 minutes, Fabian Czeszejko put it in 0-1 from a short distance just to the right of Víktor Freire. Faustão Alagoano received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 15th minute. Vladan Kovačević tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Olimpia HSB's Vladan Kovačević played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Claudinho Fernandes in the 17th minute of play. After some careless play in the Ibirama Futebol Clube defense, Fabian Czeszejko kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Víktor Freire. The Ibirama Futebol Clube fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Víktor Freire should have stopped the shot. A collision led to Olimpia HSB getting a freekick after 24 minutes play. Sixto Yanguas hit a great ball. Vladan Kovačević showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Roger Guerra in the 25th minute of the match. In the 26th minute the ball was on its way in behind Ibirama Futebol Clube's goalkeeper Víktor Freire, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. In the 27th minute Olimpia HSB were awarded a corner. Fernando Morientes went to the cornerflag to take it. After taking down the ball on Olimpia HSB's corner Calito Izquierdoz fired away a hard shot, but the defenders efficiently covered the most dangerous angles and Víktor Freire quite easily take care of the ball. In the 29th minute of the match Olimpia HSB got a corner. Ibirama Futebol Clube's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Fernando Morientes ran over to the corner to take the kick. Fabian Czeszejko scored 0-3 in the 35th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Víktor Freire, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Víktor Freire stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Fabian Czeszejko's shot from short distance in the 38th minute. 41 minutes into the match, Ibirama Futebol Clube's goal looked a bit too open when Fabian Czeszejko came free, but Víktor Freire reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Víktor Freire showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Fabian Czeszejko in the 46th minute of the match. Fabian Czeszejko recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 47th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. The crowd was extremely unhappy with the home team's performance in the first half. They were losing 0-3.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Claudinho Fernandes made a kick off. The audience was convinced that Fabian Czeszejko's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Víktor Freire was relentless in the 54th minute of the game. In the 55th minute, Claudinho Fernandes ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Vladan Kovačević was frozen by the shot and now it was 1-3. In the 58th minute the ball was on its way in behind Ibirama Futebol Clube's goalkeeper Víktor Freire, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. In the 61st minute of the match Olimpia HSB got a corner. Ibirama Futebol Clube's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Fernando Morientes ran over to the corner to take the kick. A nice corner shot did that Nikola Mirotić got away a dangerous shot. Despite this Víktor Freire quite easily got ahold of the ball to make the save. Víktor Freire showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Fabian Czeszejko, who was totally free with the ball in the 64th minute. Olimpia HSB's Vladan Kovačević played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Roger Guerra in the 67th minute of play. Olimpia HSB made a substitution. Jacek Pietrowiak replaced Fabian Czeszejko. Olimpia HSB's attentive Calito Izquierdoz managed to snatch the ball when Marcinho Barros made a throw-in in the 71st minute of the game. In the 75thth minute of the game Jacek Pietrowiak who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Ibirama Futebol Clube's Víktor Freire was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. When Olimpia HSB's Jacek Pietrowiak in the 78th minute got a chance for a shot 78th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Ibirama Futebol Clube's goalie prevented a goal. The crowd rose to their feet as Olimpia HSB's Jacek Pietrowiak slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Víktor Freire. That made the score 1-4 after 80 minutes of play. If Jacek Pietrowiak had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 83rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. 89 minutes into the match, Claudinho Fernandes had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Vladan Kovačević. Olimpia HSB's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Claudinho Fernandes was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 2-4. Víktor Freire made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Jacek Pietrowiak in the 94th minute of play. Jacek Pietrowiak blasted a shot towards the goal in the 96th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Víktor Freire having to make a save. Jacek Pietrowiak could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 96th minute of the match, but Víktor Freire made a huge save. The Ibirama Futebol Clube supporters were disappointed that their team didn't take anything from the match, despite matching Olimpia HSB's performance. The match ended with a win for Olimpia HSB.
