Januario Alfaro showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Peter Flaa in the 7th minute of the match. 11 minutes into the match, FC Pirates's Peter Flaa sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Januario Alfaro narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Peter Flaa in the 14th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Januario Alfaro prevented the ball from getting in the gole. In the 22ndth minute of the game Peter Flaa who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Kaisar Astana's Januario Alfaro was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Arif Keskin made in the 30th minute of the game a throw-in that took a bad bounce and was taken care of by FC Pirates's Matey Bochkov. Peter Flaa's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Januario Alfaro read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 30th minute of play. After 32 minutes Kaisar Astana's defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Toma Drashanski who took care of the corner kick. Matey Bochkov was in a good position and managed to take a shot, but he missed just to the outside of the post. In the 35th minute the ball was on its way in behind Kaisar Astana's goalkeeper Januario Alfaro, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. When the match clock showed 36 minutes, the score became 1-0 when Kaljo Püss sped through FC Pirates's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Ognyan Pironkov. Peter Flaa took the ball and in the 40 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Januario Alfaro. Januario Alfaro dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 1-1. Januario Alfaro took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Peter Flaa, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Januario Alfaro showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Bayan Pantev, who was totally free with the ball in the 44th minute. An unexpected shot in the 45th minute by Kaljo Püss got the crowd on their feet, but to their dismay it went out on the left side.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Viktor Anastasiev made a kick off. Cruz Viana fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 51st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Ognyan Pironkov having to interfere. After some careless play in the Kaisar Astana defense, Peter Flaa kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Januario Alfaro. The Kaisar Astana fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Januario Alfaro should have stopped the shot. Ognyan Pironkov showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Viktor Anastasiev, who was totally free with the ball in the 58th minute. FC Pirates's Peter Flaa got a good chance for a goal in the 60th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. When Leandro Fidencio fell near the penalty area in the 61st minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored FC Pirates's protests and gave Leandro Fidencio a yellow card for diving instead. The supporters of Kaisar Astana booed when FC Pirates was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 61 match minutes in a wonderful position. Leandro Fidencio didn't get a good kick on the ball. An unexpectedly hard shot by Peter Flaa in the 64th minute of play forced Kaisar Astana's goalkeeper Januario Alfaro to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After 67 minutes Kaisar Astana's defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Toma Drashanski who took care of the corner kick. The corner ended in Toma Drashanski almost managing to get the ball behind the net, but Kaisar Astana's Januario Alfaro did a great save. Valko Yazadzhiev hit a great freekick 68 minutes into the match. The audience thought a goal was coming when Peter Flaa got free with Januario Alfaro in the 71st minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. In the 84th minute the ball was on its way in behind Kaisar Astana's goalkeeper Januario Alfaro, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Antoni Marichkov's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Januario Alfaro read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 86th minute of play. Sergey Abramov's late challenge caught a FC Pirates's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Sergey Abramov helped the player get up and apologised. After 90 played minutes Kaisar Astana got a freekick which was hit by Sergey Abramov. 91 minutes into the game, Antoni Marichkov cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 1-5. Januario Alfaro was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Januario Alfaro made a fantastic save in the 94th minute, when Antoni Marichkov sent off a good shot on target.
