Waldir Araújo was frozen by the shot and now it was 0-1. Claudinei Ramalho charged in rather forcefully in the 9th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Claudinei Ramalho the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. In the 10th minute, Claudinei Ramalho hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Ferit Boğatekin made an important save on a dangerous shot by Celsinho Cardozo in the 18th minute. With a little luck, AS Maraschin Calcio CIMZ's Ferit Boğatekin got control of the ball when Celsinho Cardozo tried to sneak it across the goal line. Waldir Araújo stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Claudinei Ramalho's shot from short distance in the 33rd minute. After 45 played minutes ҜƗŇǤ ŁƗØŇ Ř€Đ βŁΔĆҜ got a freekick which was hit by Vicente Alves. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 0-1 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Claudinei Ramalho stepped up to make the kick off in the second half.
