An unexpectedly hard shot by Nial Peyton in the 5th minute of play forced Elegance Dijon's goalkeeper Dave Rinaldi to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 11 minutes into the match, Kolopetinitsa's goalkeeper Güralp Uğurtan had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Roger Hauguel. Luk Pieters kicked well hit freekick during the 15th minute of the match. Dave Rinaldi showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Nial Peyton, who was totally free with the ball in the 17th minute. After 21 minutes, Eddy Brayer mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Elegance Dijon and the Kolopetinitsa players grew even worse after the yellow card. In the 21st match minute, Elegance Dijon was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Eddy Brayer to maneuver through the defense. Elegance Dijon's Dave Rinaldi played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Panagiotis Kaliasis in the 29th minute of play. Roger Hauguel sent away a hard shot on goal in the 31st minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Theagenis Theodorakoglou received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 33rd minute. Dave Rinaldi tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. If Nial Peyton had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 35th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Dave Rinaldi took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Panos Tsabis, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After 38 played minutes Elegance Dijon got a freekick which was hit by Stéphane Gaudy. A collision led to Kolopetinitsa getting a freekick after 42 minutes play. Luk Pieters hit a great ball. Dave Rinaldi made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Panos Tsabis in the 46th minute of play. In the 48th minute, Nial Peyton ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Dave Rinaldi was frozen by the shot and now it was 0-1.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Stéphane Gaudy to strike the kick off in the second half. After 55 minutes, Stéphane Gaudy mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Elegance Dijon and the Kolopetinitsa players grew even worse after the yellow card. Panos Tsabis's shot straight on target was not completely harmless. The ball had pretty good speed, but Dave Rinaldi firmly grabbed it by the left post. The supporters of Elegance Dijon booed when Kolopetinitsa was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 81 match minutes in a wonderful position. Giorgos Kouklakis didn't get a good kick on the ball. After a defensive mix-up in Kolopetinitsa's zone, Christian Minaud stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Güralp Uğurtan came out of the goal and Christian Minaud tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Régis Catoire hit a great freekick 84 minutes into the match. Dave Rinaldi showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Nial Peyton, who was totally free with the ball in the 85th minute. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Panagiotis Kaliasis in the 87th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Dave Rinaldi prevented the ball from getting in the gole. In the 89thth minute of the game Nial Peyton who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Elegance Dijon's Dave Rinaldi was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. In the 90th minute Kolopetinitsa were awarded a corner. Luk Pieters went to the cornerflag to take it. Dave Rinaldi made an important save on a dangerous shot by Panos Tsabis in the 95th minute. Eddy Brayer hit a great freekick 95 minutes into the match. When the final whistle was heard the away supporters stood up and showed their joy. Kolopetinitsa had managed to secure a win in what was a close match throughout.
