With a little luck, Rörvik BK's Anders Eriksson got control of the ball when Yu Jing Bin tried to sneak it across the goal line. Thanks to some nice moves Yu Jing Bin could shoot a difficult shot in the 12th minute, which Anders Eriksson however easily saved by the left post. Rörvik BK's Anders Eriksson played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Lars Sörman in the 16th minute of play. Anders Eriksson showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Karl-Ove Lägdin in the 26th minute of the match. Arvid Sandberg took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Bo-Erik Säf, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Rasmus Hultin hit a great freekick 32 minutes into the match. In the 37th minute Bo-Erik Säf shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Arvid Sandberg saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The audience thought a goal was coming when Lars Sörman got free with Anders Eriksson in the 40th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Arvid Sandberg made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Adam Håning in the 45th minute of play. The crowd was extremely unhappy with the home team's performance in the first half. They were losing 0-1.

Lars Sörman might have been able to make a better finish in the 51st minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Anders Eriksson. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Lars Sörman ran back to his position shaking his head. After 52 minutes, Östen Arvidsson mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the IKS Norrköping and the Rörvik BK players grew even worse after the yellow card. In the 52nd match minute, IKS Norrköping was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Östen Arvidsson to maneuver through the defense. In the 53rd minute of the match Rasmus Hultin shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Arvid Sandberg showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. Arvid Sandberg made an important save on a dangerous shot by Bo-Erik Säf in the 54th minute. In the 55th minute, Rasmus Hultin hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Tobias Ekeberg received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 56th minute. Anders Eriksson tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Anders Eriksson showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Tobias Ekeberg in the 76th minute of the match. In the 78th minute, Tobias Ekeberg ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Anders Eriksson was frozen by the shot and now it was 1-1. Lars Sörman sent away a hard shot on goal in the 83rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Tobias Ekeberg took the ball and in the 89 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Anders Eriksson. Anders Eriksson dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 2-1. In the 93rd match minute, IKS Norrköping was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Petter Barck to maneuver through the defense. Orvar Hafström was probably a little too eager to shoot when he, in the 93rd played minute, shot the ball from way out. The shot was hard, but the ball flew wide of the goal. IKS Norrköping's Arvid Sandberg proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 95th minute of the match, managed to save IKS Norrköping from getting a goal against them. The referee blew his whistle, and the match came to a close. The players exchanged shirts and headed down the tunnel. The IKS Norrköping fans cheered their team off the field, for while Rörvik BK had put up a good fight, they were unable to come out of the game with any points to show for their effort.
