Ermegildo Cordarell hit a great freekick 11 minutes into the match. Leonardo Medardo took the ball and in the 20 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Benedicto Farias. Benedicto Farias dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 0-2. Boulogne F.C.'s Ermegildo Cordarell got his second yellow card of the match in the 23rd minute. The referee ordered Ermegildo Cordarell off the ground. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Lisandro Ellande couldn't finish the play. After a defensive mix-up in Pianello del Lario FC's zone, Marcelo Martins stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Benedicto Farias came out of the goal and Marcelo Martins tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. After the first half Boulogne F.C. were leading 0-3. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

The supporters of Pianello del Lario FC booed when Boulogne F.C. was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 53 match minutes in a wonderful position. Melquiades Tabor didn't get a good kick on the ball. Benedicto Farias came out of the goal in the 57th minute to try and stop a shot by Boulogne F.C.'s Marcelo Martins. Pianello del Lario FC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Herminio Frances was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. After 70 minutes of play, Boulogne F.C.'s Marcelo Martins made it 0-5 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Benedicto Farias was left in no man's land by his defense there! After some careless play in the Pianello del Lario FC defense, Saverio Sagrario kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Benedicto Farias. The Pianello del Lario FC fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Benedicto Farias should have stopped the shot. Benedicto Farias made a fantastic save in the 77th minute, when Marcelo Martins sent off a good shot on target. Marcelo Martins received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 79th minute. Benedicto Farias tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. 82 minutes into the game, Marcelo Martins cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 0-7. Benedicto Farias was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. When Marcelo Martins came up free with the goalie in the 86th minute, the Boulogne F.C. fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Marcelo Martins couldn't finish the play. In the 88th minute, Ovidio Tohias hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Ignacio Ponciano received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 93rd minute.
