After a rather tough play, ADM Taquaras's Michel Ibrahimovic got a free kick in the 3rd minute. In the 5th match minute, Fúria Futebol Clube was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Frank Campidelis to maneuver through the defense. ADM Taquaras's Michel Neuer played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Frank Campidelis in the 7th minute of play. The supporters of ADM Taquaras booed when Fúria Futebol Clube was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 8 match minutes in a wonderful position. Wilton Nunes didn't get a good kick on the ball. When Doriva Ceresso came up free with the goalie in the 9th minute, the ADM Taquaras fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Doriva Ceresso couldn't finish the play. In the 19th minute, Michel Batistuta reached a very good position and smashed the ball with a huge effort into the net, just to the left of Júlio Porto. The goal made the score 1-0. 23 minutes into the game, Wilton Nunes was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Fúria Futebol Clube's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave ADM Taquaras the free kick. After 23 played minutes Fúria Futebol Clube got a freekick which was hit by Wilton Nunes. 24 minutes into the match, Michel Batistuta had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Júlio Porto. Fúria Futebol Clube's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Michel Batistuta was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 2-0. Luís Gustavo Carvalho kicked well hit freekick during the 26th minute of the match. Michel Lahm kicked well hit freekick during the 30th minute of the match. Michel Neuer made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Luís Gustavo Carvalho in the 36th minute of play. Michel Ibrahimovic could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 41st minute of the match, but Júlio Porto made a huge save. In the 43rd minute ADM Taquaras were awarded a corner. Michel Lahm went to the cornerflag to take it. The corner led ADM Taquaras's Michel Lahm to fire away a dangerous shot which Júlio Porto despite some difficulties managed to get hold on the ball. With a little luck, Fúria Futebol Clube's Júlio Porto got control of the ball when Michel Ibrahimovic tried to sneak it across the goal line.

The wind increased when Michel Batistuta made the kick off in the second half. 56 minutes into the match, Fúria Futebol Clube's goal looked a bit too open when Michel Lahm came free, but Júlio Porto reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Michel Batistuta fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 59th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Júlio Porto having to interfere. Júlio Porto showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Michel Batistuta, who was totally free with the ball in the 61st minute. ADM Taquaras's Michel Ibrahimovic got a good chance for a goal in the 65th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. There was no doubt that ADM Taquaras were the better team. ADM Taquaras's players enjoyed the ovations of the crowd after the victory.
