In the 12th minute of the match Jorge Amaral sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Fernandão Linares skillfully saved the ball. After a rather tough play, Facopo FBPA's Jorge Amaral got a free kick in the 14th minute. Baltazar Lago could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 16th minute of the match, but Osvaldinho Moreno made a huge save. Fernandão Linares stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Tiaguinho de Lara's shot from short distance in the 19th minute. 20 minutes into the game, Facopo FBPA's Tiaguinho de Lara nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Fernandão Linares made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 0-1. 23 minutes into the match, SAO JOANENSE FC's goal looked a bit too open when Jorge Amaral came free, but Fernandão Linares reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. The referee blew the whistle for a penalty in the 29th minute of the game. One of SAO JOANENSE FC:s players had nearly got his shirt torn off by an opponent while getting free in front of Facopo FBPA:s goal. Duda Favoretto placed the ball on the penalty spot and got himself ready to shoot. Post out! 34 minutes into the game, Naldo Paiva cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 0-2. Fernandão Linares was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Naldo Paiva took the ball and in the 37 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Fernandão Linares. Fernandão Linares dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 0-3. In the 40th minute, Naldo Paiva got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Sydney Messias fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 42nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Fernandão Linares having to interfere. An unexpectedly hard shot by Jorge Amaral in the 44th minute of play forced SAO JOANENSE FC's goalkeeper Fernandão Linares to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 0-3 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

After 73 minutes, Angelo Magalhães mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the SAO JOANENSE FC and the Facopo FBPA players grew even worse after the yellow card. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Tiaguinho de Lara in the 80th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Fernandão Linares prevented the ball from getting in the gole. If Sydney Messias had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 81st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Fernandão Linares made a fantastic save in the 84th minute, when Tiaguinho de Lara sent off a good shot on target. 87 minutes into the match, Facopo FBPA's goal looked a bit too open when João Augusto Messias came free, but Osvaldinho Moreno reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After 88 played minutes Facopo FBPA got a freekick which was hit by Tiaguinho de Lara. In the 93rd minute, Caetano Passos hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. The SAO JOANENSE FC fans had already started to leave before the final whistle blew. Facopo FBPA were clearly better and deserved to take the win.
