Amancio Corderun showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Guaberto Maraman, who was totally free with the ball in the 5th minute. Damaso Playo sent away a hard shot on goal in the 8th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Amancio Corderun stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Guaberto Maraman's shot from short distance in the 11th minute. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Guaberto Maraman in the 17th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Amancio Corderun saved TheBambiTooFurious from getting behind. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Guaberto Maraman in the 32nd minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Amancio Corderun prevented the ball from getting in the gole. The audience thought a goal was coming when Basilio Kemen got free with Ulises Sandaili in the 36th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Amancio Corderun made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Arnulfo Confesor in the 39th minute of play. Amancio Corderun stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Arnulfo Confesor's shot from short distance in the 43rd minute. 44 minutes into the game, Guaberto Maraman cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 1-1. Amancio Corderun was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. After a very even first half the match was still tied. The players went to their respective dressing rooms to discuss the tactics for the second half.
The wind increased when Guaberto Maraman made the kick off in the second half. Aquiles Argina hit a great freekick 54 minutes into the match. After a defensive mix-up in Vélez Juniors's zone, Cosme Oliverio stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Ulises Sandaili came out of the goal and Cosme Oliverio tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Vélez Juniors's Anacleto Eztebe was substituted for Guaberto Maraman. When the match clock showed 62 minutes, the score became 1-2 when Anacleto Eztebe sped through TheBambiTooFurious's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Amancio Corderun. Vélez Juniors's Ulises Cristofol got a good chance for a goal in the 66th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. A collision led to Vélez Juniors getting a freekick after 67 minutes play. Amancio Godoy hit a great ball. In the 68th minute Basilio Kemen shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Ulises Sandaili saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. When Anacleto Eztebe came up free with the goalie in the 70th minute, the Vélez Juniors fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Anacleto Eztebe couldn't finish the play. Isidoro Silbestre kicked well hit freekick during the 71st minute of the match. Cosme Oliverio kicked well hit freekick during the 76th minute of the match. The crowd rose to their feet as Amancio Godoy kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Amancio Corderun. That made the score 1-3 in the 84 minute of play. With his leg Amancio Corderun managed to avoid a goal in the 88thth minute, when Vélez Juniors's Anacleto Eztebe fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. After a rather tough play, TheBambiTooFurious's Silverio Ricart got a free kick in the 89th minute.
