When Zdzislaw Topolski fell near the penalty area in the 33rd minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Sparta Torex's protests and gave Zdzislaw Topolski a yellow card for diving instead. A collision led to Sparta Torex getting a freekick after 33 minutes play. After fighting hard for a draw in the first half, the players were able to take a much needed rest.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Przemyslaw Hendzel was the one to do the kick off. Arkadiusz Tarasek who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 68thth minute tested the skills of Zdzislaw Jerzyk when he managed to save the team from getting behind. In the 71st minute Florian Solibieda shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Fabian Rzeszutek saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. If Franciszek Jeziorkowski had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 95th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The Sparta Torex supporters could be heard counting down the last seconds of the match. They errupted in celebration when the whistle blew, knowing Sparta Torex would go home with victory in their luggage after a match that easily could have ended differently.
