The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. The tension between the Bastioes EC and the Pecém players grew even worse after the yellow card. After a rather tough play, Bastioes EC's Edgar de Lima got a free kick in the 6th minute. Valdir Ferraz showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Valdir Tavares in the 11th minute of the match. In the 12th minute, Wilson Arce hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. 16 minutes into the match, Bastioes EC's goal looked a bit too open when Simão Valle came free, but Valdir Ferraz reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After 19 minutes of play, Bastioes EC's Durvalino Carioca made it 0-1 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Jerônimo Breckenfeld fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 30th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Valdir Ferraz having to interfere. Laércio Eger showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Durvalino Carioca in the 34th minute of the match. Laércio Eger showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Cauan Mineiro, who was totally free with the ball in the 36th minute. 37 minutes into the match, Pecém's goal looked a bit too open when Durvalino Carioca came free, but Laércio Eger reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Valdir Ferraz made an important save on a dangerous shot by Valdir Tavares in the 39th minute. 45 minutes into the match, Durvalino Carioca had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Laércio Eger. Pecém's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Durvalino Carioca was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 0-2.

Simão Valle struck a weak shot in the 71st minute. Valdir Ferraz didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Pecém. Bastioes EC's Valdir Ferraz played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Valdir Tavares in the 76th minute of play. Laércio Eger acted impressively in front of the goal and made a superb save when he, in the 79th minute, took the ball on the long shot from Wilson Arce. If Cauan Mineiro had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 84th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Simão Valle's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Valdir Ferraz read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 94th minute of play. If Simão Valle had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 95th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. When the final whistle was heard the away supporters stood up and showed their joy. Bastioes EC had managed to secure a win in what was a close match throughout.
