Leandro Daneri showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Xaime Hinojosa, who was totally free with the ball in the 16th minute. After a defensive mix-up in El Eterno Campeón's zone, Xaime Hinojosa stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Leandro Daneri came out of the goal and Xaime Hinojosa tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. 20 minutes into the match, Xaime Hinojosa notched a goal, 0-2, to the right of El Eterno Campeón's Leandro Daneri. Leandro Daneri was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. After 25 played minutes Spartans FC got a freekick which was hit by Adriano Sierralta. After 28 played minutes Spartans FC got a freekick which was hit by Luis Angel Lattapiat. Adriano Sierralta received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 30th minute. Leandro Daneri tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After some fancy dribbling in the 31st minute, Raimundo Marcou managed to get in a good position for a shot. Spartans FC's supporters rose to their feet, but Raimundo Marcou was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Leandro Daneri breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. In the 38th minute Xaime Hinojosa shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Leandro Daneri saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. When Spartans FC's Xaime Hinojosa in the 39th minute got a chance for a shot 39th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye El Eterno Campeón's goalie prevented a goal. After 41 minutes of play, Spartans FC's Adriano Sierralta made it 0-3 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Leandro Daneri was left in no man's land by his defense there! After 46 minutes, Raimundo Marcou mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Spartans FC and the El Eterno Campeón players grew even worse after the yellow card. Raimundo Marcou hit a great freekick 46 minutes into the match.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Tanio Mascaro made a kick off. Xaime Hinojosa sent away a hard shot on goal in the 62nd minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. Patricio Arangua kicked well hit freekick during the 64th minute of the match. In the 65th minute Xaime Hinojosa shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Leandro Daneri saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 70th minute, Xaime Hinojosa made a precise shot to the right of Leandro Daneri. El Eterno Campeón's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 0-5. El Eterno Campeón's players were relieved. Xaime Hinojosa took the ball and in the 85 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Leandro Daneri. Leandro Daneri dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 0-7. Raimundo Marcou fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 88th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Leandro Daneri having to interfere. Leandro Daneri made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Xaime Hinojosa in the 91st minute of play. 93 minutes into the match, Xaime Hinojosa had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Leandro Daneri. El Eterno Campeón's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Xaime Hinojosa was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 0-8.
